January, 1995 - It rained so hard in Santa Barbara, that several parts of the city flooded. The airport is next to the runoff for most of the city, so when that plugged up with debris, the airport flooded. Most of the wheel bearings on the planes had to be repacked. Funny thing, the airport was still flashing its green and white beacon instead of the required yellow and white beacon for a seaplane port.
